Sports films usually have one thing in common if not always. An tht is that they are all underdog stories. There always has to be a underdog an the story has to be about that underdog. Becuase thats what America loves to see, no one wants to see a movie about the best winning. They want to see the underdog go through truimph an hard times to get on top. An frankly its been working with movies like Rocky, Coach Carter, Hoosiers, Glory Road an many more. The underdog doesnt always have to be the athlete it could be the coach. An its what America loves to watch. My personal favorite is Glory Road, about a man who becomes the head coach of a losing college. It take place during the 70's which was a very racial time. An this coach recruits black players to come play with white's. An they not only have to get along but they have to win a national title together. Its about brotherhood an truimph an a true underdog story.
